What have I been doing?

I haven't blogged in a few days, but I promise I have been super busy. Nothing special just the regular mom, kid, house, and baking stuff. Well, there is one special thing that I have been working on. The hubby's birthday is coming up on the 16th, and I have been working on characters for his cake. I really want it to be a surprise, so I'm keeping it a secret. Here's the only thing I will show. It is blurry, but that's the point. So, if you figure anything out, shhhhhh.....

 

So, between playing with kids, cleaning house, and laundry, I've been doing a little playing of my own. I really can't wait for Thomas' surprise cake to come together. We usually have a party, but this year he will be camping with the cub scouts, so his cake will be it. I know it's just a cake to most people, but to me it's like a super duper edible birthday card that says I love you enough to make this for you. Buying a gift is not as much of a deal for us. One year, he came home to find this for his birthday...

Yep! That's a ginormous Mario and fire flower on the back of our house.
